Ras Al-Khair Port is the largest port in the Persian Gulf in terms of area and serves as a multi-purpose port supporting mining and industrial activities. Established in 2014, it is a key component of Saudi Arabia's mining and industrial diversification strategy.

The port features specialized terminals for mineral exports, including phosphate and bauxite, and supports the Royal Commission's industrial complex. Its deep-water capabilities accommodate the world's largest bulk carriers and industrial vessels.
